Biography

I have lived in Brisbane all of my life. I have always loved art and nature, so after high school I studied ecology but continued to draw pictures at home. I decided that I'd love to have a job that was both art and science. Whilst working as a research assistant for DustWatch, I drew Dustee and my secret art talent was revealed to my science co workers! My brother Tim has taught me a bit of digital art, so both he and I created the animations for School DustWatch. I then began working at the Museum where I help a scientist illustrating the specimens. Seeing my Mum's drawings, looking through books, doing lots and lots of drawings in a variety of styles, and being trained in science have all helped me to now have a job as a scientific illustrator.
